Quantum Radar became reality

The F-22 aircraft is very well known to the people about its stealth, there were no radar that could detect it but that was done by a conventional radar where the microwave was sent by the transmitted and when it gets reflected by the object it is sensed and the object is located but if the signal is weak or the object uses certain technique to scatter the microwave attacking on it the traditional radar becomes useless.
A new Quantum Radar which was one thought to be fictious has been created by the scientists and engineering in the University of York under the guidance of  team led by Dr Stefano Pirandola, of the University's Department of Computer Science and the York Centre for Quantum Technologies, a double cavity device which converts the microwaves into optical waves that are propagated in search of objects.
A nanomechanical oscillator is used for the conversion of microwaves into optical waves, and the optical wave consist of two waves which are strongly correlated with each other, the techniques used is that one wave is directly sent to the receiver and the other is sent in search of an object and of there is anything struck by the wave in its path it is reflected back (even high stealth object reflects very low level of radiation) to the receiver and where it meets the first wave, the defector senses the difference in level of photons of the two waves and this makes it possible to know about the object.
Despite of being a radar technology Dr Stefano Pirandola says that this technique can be used in mri(magnetic resonance imaging) scans where the radiation level will be reduced for the patient and in spectroscopy of proteins and dna.

Jarosite the destroyer of organic compounds

Scientists have been tracing the sign of life in the entire universe to find out is life possible outside earth and so far they are unable to find any trace. Mars is the perfect place where we can look for life and many missions are operating there one very famous curiosity is operating on the surface of Mars looking for signs of life. There is a bad news for the curiosity mission, a new study from the Imperial College of London reveals about a mineral names Jarosite (KFe3+3(SO4)2(OH)6) which destroys the organic compounds which are building blocks of life and are responsible for the development of lifeforms in earth without leaving any trace of it.
Structure of jarosite
The research was conducted in the Imperial College where similar tests were conducted as they were to be done by Curiosity in Mars in which Jarosite on heating breaks down to give oxygen and chlorine gas which inturns react with organic compounds breaking them into carbondioxide and water without leaving traces of Jarosite and organic compounds. If Jarosite is present in the soil of the red planet then it would be impossible to detect evidence of life and it would ruin the entire mission, these research helps the future missions which will be launched in future for deduction of life. But in contrary under normal conditions in earth where Jarosites are present there is life going on in, many bacterias are living in Jarosite environment. The research claims that Jarosite destroys the life forms or organic compounds when it gets heated up and it is possible that Jarosite may be present in Mars soil as it is found in earth.

Pregnancy confirms by odour, lemurs are nature's wonders

There are various stupid method used from ancient times when they try to know the sex of an unborn baby inside of mothers womb, some says it can be jugged from the mom who choose between sweet and sour taste or the shape of the stomach, the month during which sperm was fertilized, the change in the habbits during pregnancy period and many more but with today's advanced technologies such as ultrasound which is not always correct to predict the sex of an unborn child.
A report published in the Duke University journal of 25th February 2015 tells us that lemurs are the only know till date specific which can pridect the sex of the unborn child by noticing the difference in the mother's scent which is different for a boy in the womb than from the girl.
A researcher done on 12 cat like primate(lemur) in the Duke University recording the scent of female lemurs before and during the pregnancy period using spectroscopy and gas chromatography and it showed that the scent of female lemur carrying a son has a simpler scent that contains lesser odour compounds than a normal lemur.
The scientists are not confirmed why the lemurs odour becomes simpler when they carry baby sons but they says that it could be done for energy saving as the hormones need for the development of a male child requires more energy and to save this energy the odour becomes less during pregnancy. This research can also help in knowing the sex of humans more accurately and early as compared to today's technology in near future.

Batteries Can Work Like a GPS : New Studies Reveal the secret behind

Global Positioning System (GPS) is the key technology used today for tracking location of every thing that is connected by a satellite. This is helpful in getting the location through the globe but of we are in a city then using this method in not so handy as the apps which requires GPS permission are risky to use and may not tell the accurate position. A new method of location the people with the help of a mobile app Powerspy which will be soon available in play store will help you in locating without the use of GPS
A new research lead in the Standford University reveales that the position of a person can be tracked by using an android device without using the GPS or any other tracking method, the secret lies just in the batteries of the mobile and it does not require any special permission from the user to track down the locations there are more than 175 android apps which receives battery information and angry birds is one of them . It is just a simple method that the mobile uses more battery power to connect to a signal tower when it is far from it, that is the rate of power consumption is directly proportion to the distance from the tower and the hinderences like building or trees. And an algorithm plots the graph of the data which can be used to track the location via a mobile. The accuracy level may vary upto 100-150 meters which is still less than that of a traditional android GPS system.

Resurrection of 2-stroke Engines : Future of Power

These days 4-stroke engines are backbone of every industry from automobile to aerospace. These engines are good but the power to weight ratio is not so good and even power is delivered at every 3rd stroke in a cycle. If you have an old yamaha motorcycle than you probably know about the 2-stroke engines they were powerful noisy and pollution causing which was the main reason why these 2-stroke engines came to a dead end, these are used today also but at smaller scale compared to 4-stroke. The reason for unpopularity of 2-stroke engines is that they are less efficient to their 4-stroke counterparts as the air fuel mixture does not get completely ignited which causes many effects like less power, knocking effects, pollution etc. despite of the fact that they are cheap, simple, high power to volume ratio 4-stroke is generally preffered.
Several engine makers like Nissan, KTM, are in the verge of resurrecting the 2-stroke engines again with the help of latest technologies and advancement. The new 2 stroke engines which contains several technologies like Direct Fuel Injection, Statified Charge Combustion, latest electronic controls and much more which will deliver high performance and fuel economy without having any issues with stringent emissions. The secret of such high performance of new 2-stroke engines lies in the fact that the highly atomized fuel spray that is injected into the Combustion Chamber towards the end of compression stroke which burns more effectively. The fuel is sprayed after the exhaust valves are closed so that no fresh fuel is wasted which was a big problem in conventional 2-stroke engines.

With stratified combustion the combustion process becomes smooth as the flame is ignited by igniting small amount of air fuel mixture near the spark plug. The advance electronic helps in tracking and optimizing of the engine loaf and controls do that it can be more effective.
